How long does paint protection film last?
LLumar PPF is engineered to last 10 years or more under normal driving conditions. The film carries a manufacturer-backed warranty, and with proper care — regular washing and avoiding harsh chemicals — you can expect it to maintain clarity and self-healing performance for the life of the warranty.
Will PPF change the way my paint looks?
No. LLumar's optical-grade adhesive and film are designed to be virtually invisible once installed. The film preserves your factory paint color and gloss. We also offer Stealth (matte) and Color PPF options if you want to change your vehicle's appearance while still protecting the paint underneath.
What does "self-healing" actually mean?
The top coat of LLumar PPF has an elastomeric polymer layer that absorbs light scratches and swirl marks. When exposed to heat — direct sunlight, warm water, or even the warmth from your hand — the film's surface reforms and the scratch disappears. This keeps the film looking fresh without polishing.
Can PPF be removed without damaging my paint?
Yes. When professionally removed, LLumar PPF comes off cleanly without pulling paint or leaving adhesive residue. This makes PPF an excellent investment for leased vehicles or anyone who wants to preserve resale value.
How long does installation take?
It depends on the coverage level. A partial front package typically takes one full day. Full front coverage runs one to two days, and a full vehicle wrap requires three to five days. We never rush an installation — your vehicle stays in our controlled environment until the work meets our standards.
Do you serve areas outside of Gonzales?
Absolutely. While our studio is located in Gonzales, LA, we regularly work with clients from Baton Rouge, Prairieville, Denham Springs, Ascension Parish, and across South Louisiana. Many clients drive from New Orleans and Lafayette as well.
